Much like with Alexander Wang's namesake collection, the big story at T this season was the surprising injection of color. A cheerful palette of lemon yellow, peppermint green, and sky blue was enough to make you fall in love with the label's top-notch basics—techno suiting separates, neoprene crop tops, and sporty knits, for starters—all over again. Aside from the new hues, Wang kept things brief for Resort, showing a variety of short shorts and skirts, little rompers, and navel-baring jackets and sweatshirts, which were cut from a quilted-effect jacquard that featured a grid-rope motif. Other highlights here included soft leather hoodies and matching board shorts as well as a sexy LWD (little white dress) done in crisp poplin. If anything, this lineup felt a bit more playful than recent ones, which had steered the brand in a more sophisticated direction, making it sure to win the youth vote.
