　　Jerry was the kind of guy you love to hate. He was always in a good mood and always had something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would re*, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

　　He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude. He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

　　Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"

　　Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, "Jerry, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood." I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life."

　　"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested."Yes, it is," Jerry said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live life."

While trying to open the safe his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him.

　　Luckily, Jerry was found relatively quickly and rushed to the local trauma(创伤) center. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body.

　　I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I"d be twins. Wanna see my scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place.

　　"The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Jerry replied. "Then, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live, or I could choose to die. I chose to live."

　　"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness(知觉) ?" I asked.Jerry continued, "The paramedics(护理人员) were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. 3、有一种心情，叫喜怒哀乐；有一种味道，叫酸甜苦辣咸；有一种智慧，叫深谋远虑；有一种缘份，叫天长地久；有一个群体，叫烟火人间，人生百态；有一种心境，叫顺其自然。人生如梦，岁月无情，蓦然回首，才发现人活着是一种心情，穷也好富也好得也好失也好，一切都是过眼云烟。想想不管昨天今天明天，能豁然开朗就是美好的一天，不管是亲情友情爱情，能永远珍惜的就是好心情。所有大事小事难事易事乐事苦事，都是一件事，事情总有因有果，人与事事与人，总有着千丝万缕的联系。当岁月在悠悠然然的钟声里消失，一切将幻化成空气中的那份宁静淡然。所以，人应该顺其自然，知足常乐。

4、在我的生命世界里，我应该不属于这座城市，不属于这个我自认为过于繁华过于喧闹的城市。可是命中注定我不得不投入到这座城市的怀抱，去分享这座滨海城所带给我的喜怒哀乐，悲欢离合；去分享潮起潮落海的气息，以及他宽广的胸怀，带给我的那份永恒和一直勇往直前的心境。

5、人们常说：“茶如人生，第一道茶苦如生命，第二道茶香如爱情，第三道茶淡如清风”。一杯清茶，三味一生，人的一生宛若一片茶叶，或早或晚要溶入这纷纭变化的大千世界。在溶汇交融的过程中，每个人都要从生到死，贡献出自己的毕生，走完自己人生历程。在人生这个大舞台上，人们只会关注那些主角，不会去刻意地留心那些配角，就像品茶人很少在意杯中的每一片茶叶一样。人生如茶，多一片或浓，少一片或淡，无论是浓烈或者清淡，都要去细细的品味，苦乐都是滋味。

6、在这个世界上，有人悲观，有人执着，有人超脱。面对相同的人生走向，态度迥异。想一想人生百年，看似鸟儿丰满的羽翼，但在浩渺如烟的历史长河中瘦的可怜，区区一粒尘埃而矣，微乎其微。一个生命从有到无的事实，没有人能够改变。历朝历代帝王将相宁有种乎，最终不也一去不复返，包括世外桃源修炼的归隐居士，不也一样来日遥遥无期。

7、一个做事功利心很强的人，是不会真正懂得品茶的真谛，不会明白如何来“品”茶，仅仅只为解渴，全然感觉不了茶中深味；淡泊明志宁静致远之人，就如悠闲老者恬然品茶，于或浓或淡或香或涩的茶水中慢慢品味出那份清香；怨天尤人总是自叹怀才不遇的人，就如挑剔的品茶人总是抱怨茶叶不是上品，不是嫌涩就是嫌淡……其实，人这一辈子，不可能事事顺心。保持一颗*常心，珍惜亲情善待他人，用爱心回报社会；淡薄名利，尽有限之力做能做之事到暮年，回首自己的一生，了无遗憾，也就无愧今生了。

8、人生一世，不可再生，每一时每一秒都是以逝去的态势向终点靠*。人生只有第一次，始终都在彩排，没有一次正式演出，或者说始终都在正式演出，没有机会彩排。人的出生，就是向死亡迈出的第一步，从来都不能倒退。在这条路上生命多存舛，人生无常，不可预测。生命从无到有，物质从有到无，包括荣辱名利心情最终全都会烟消云散，不留一丝痕迹。这个自然法则和规律，是客观存在无可争辩的事实。
