一、创设轻松氛围,让学生敢于表达
在英语课堂上,很多老师都会设计以Free talk为开头的环节,目的是吸引学生的注意力,但总是说同一句话:“Good morning!”会使学生从一开始的满腔热情逐渐变得面无表情,味同嚼蜡,根本起不到吸引学生注意力的作用。上课伊始可以使用活泼些又带有节奏的chant来调动学生学*的积极性,使课堂气氛更轻松。良好的开端是成功的一半,因此,一开始就要营造轻松的氛围,让学生敢于说敢于表达。
二、重视英语朗读、背诵的作用
朗读和背诵是口语表达的基础,没有基础与底蕴是不可能出口成章的。我很重视英语知识的日积月累,一直强调多读多背,多练语感,因此英语早读课显得尤为重要。让学生在老师的指导下进行一定时间的英语早读是很关键的。一日之计在于晨,早上的记忆力与精力是一天中最强最饱满的。我每天都坚持下班级认真抓早读,除了对学生起到督促鼓励作用外,还能及时发现学生发音、朗读方面存在的问题,并及时给予纠正、示范和指导。读很讲究,可以分很多形式的读,如当老师大声读时,学生就要小声读,当老师小声读时,学生就要大声读,当老师读快时,学生就要慢读,当然也可以在读时加入一定的动作辅助记忆,总之,读的方式很多。有了大量的朗读、背诵作基础,流利地说就变得水到渠成了。
三、重视学生多写、多默对说的迁移作用
虽然英语口语注重说,但是其是建立在会写单词、句型的基础上的。“好记性不如烂笔头”,应当抓好基础,奠定扎实的基础。学生要系统地进行抄写、默写,并逐步提高对写速的要求,克服说英语有口无心的缺点,从而言之成句,言之有物。
四、尽可能地用口语在课堂上交流
现在的英语课堂已趋于用中文教授知识点。尤其是三年级,刚开始学,似乎用全英文交流是很吃力的一件事,很多老师为了省事,都会用中文讲解知识。其实,万事开头难,我们一开始可以边说英文,边带一些中文解释,慢慢地逐渐用肢体语言代替中文解释,久而久之,学生就能够慢慢了解。有时我们忽略了或者说看低了学生的接受能力,应该相信他们其实是可以的。另外,我觉得很重要的是,创设不同的情境,鼓励学生在课堂上交流。如利用游戏竞赛、看图填补画外音、短剧表演等形式,不用太复杂,可以旧带新,即利用旧的知识点,学*新的知识点。形式多样,学生自然就会感兴趣,并且敢于交流,只有他们敢说,我们才能及时地发现他们口语中的不足。
英语口语的重要性不言而喻,我们不能再死守原先的高分原则,造成“哑巴”英语,而是要让学生敢于交流。语言是用来说而不是用来写的,只有真正掌握了能够与国际交流的语言,才能更好地让世界了解我们。
